Introduction:

Sonali Sharma runs a grassroots legal practice in downtown Vancouver. She started Athena Law because she saw a need for affordable "unbundled" legal services, particularly in the areas of a collaborative family (out-of-court) and wills and estates practice. 

Sonali's core strengths lie in her ability to connect with others. She works with her clients and referral networks to help provide tailored services that meet each client's individual needs. She understands that family and estate issues require a lot more than just legal support. 

Through the use of flat fee and "low bono" billing models, Sonali helps clients move through family and estates related legal issues. Her mission is to empower her clients with knowledge which she hopes will ultimately transform their relationships and their personal narrative around finances, family, mental health and death. 

Outside of work, Sonali is actively involved with the Access Pro Bono Wills Clinic, she regularly presents on issues of access to justice in the areas of family and wills and estates to Legal Aid BC and Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. She sits on the board for Collaborative Divorce Vancouver. She offers services in Hindi and Punjabi.
