Introduction:

With over a decade of experience in family law, Cassandra is a resolution-focused advocate committed to guiding clients through challenging transitions with integrity and care. Cassandra prioritizes amicable solutions that protect relationships and preserve emotional well-being – particularly when children are involved. 

With a particular focus on cases involving children, she brings a compassionate, child-centered approach to every legal matter. Cassandra has worked/liaised with children’s lawyers. She has also advocated to have children’s lawyers appointed to ensure the children’s views were heard in court. 

Cassandra is the co-vice chair of the CBABC Children’s Law section. As an executive member of the Children’s Law Section, she has put forward a proposal with the Ministry of the Attorney General to amend section 203 of the Family Law Act to lower the threshold for appointment of a children’s lawyer and ensure that a child has the same rights as a party to the family law proceeding. 

Cassandra was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2013 after receiving her Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) in 2009 and her Juris Doctor in 2012, both from the University of Victoria. Prior to joining Lindsay Kenney, Cassandra began her legal career as a student and associate with a large regional firm in Vancouver, practicing in the areas of insurance, employment and business litigation.
